President
Christopher Paine
I am a fourth year Bachelor’s in Business Administration – Accounting Camosun student. I have earned a Diploma in Business Administration – Accounting. After graduation with my degree I plan to article with the Chartered Accountant School of Business to become a Chartered Accountant. I am a full time student and have a part time job as an Accounting Clerk for the Town of View Royal, which I landed through the Camosun Co-op program.
Last year I won two awards from the Camosun College School of Business – the Yvonne Thompson Student of the Year Award and the Glenoak Sales Award. I competed in the BC Portfolio Management Challenge helping Camosun College place second in the province. At the Delta Epsilon Chi International Career Development Conference held in Anaheim California in April 2009 I finished first in the Financial Statement Analysis Competition and was awarded the National Honour Award.
Outside of work and school I practice Kung-fu, Muay Thai kickboxing and occasionally Brazilian ju-jitsu martial arts. Yearly events that I try not to miss are Victoria Whiskey festival, Victoria Beer festival, Victoria Symphony Slash, Victoria Jazz festival, and Folkfest.

VP of Finance
Conor Pommerville
I am in my fourth year of my Bachelor’s in Business Administration – Accounting Degree. I have completed my Diploma in Business Administration – Accounting Option and my Certificate of Professional Accounting. After completing my degree I plan on articling with a local CA firm to achieve my CA. My accounting experience includes two terms as a tax preparer at local CA firms and working as a bookkeeper for Can-Med Clinical Research Inc. This summer I will be working for the Canada Revenue Agency.
Outside of School and DEC-Camosun I run my own photography business, work and try to expand my financial knowledge. To relieve the stress from the daily grind of school and work I like to swim, run, hang out with friends and go on photo excursions.
DEC-Camosun has made major leaps and bounds in our first eight months of existence and this year can only get better. Welcome to DEC-Camosun.

Peter Paine
I am a second year Bachelor’s in Business Administration – Accounting Camosun student. I am a full time student and work part time as an Auto Detailer for Island Detail and also as an Accounting Clerk for the Town of View Royal.
Outside of school and work I enjoy mixed martial arts, fishing, and spending time with my family and friends. Events you can find me at are Victoria Beer Fest, Summer Slugfest, and The King of the Cage. Take life on head first. You’re the Boss. Own it!

Ben Gerbrecht
I am a second year student in the Bachelor’s Business Administration program focusing on Human Resources. My first year at Camosun has brought many exciting challenges that have helped me grow as a student as well as member of society. My experiences have already provided me with new skills, amazing opportunities, and great friends.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy listening to music, playing guitar and soccer, and spending time with friends. I also have interests in photography, drawing and acting.

VP of Public Relations
David Venter
I am in my fourth year of studies at Camosun in the Business Administration – Accounting program. I have obtained my two year diploma in accounting at Camosun. After I am done my studies, I plan to pursue a CA designation and article with a local firm.
When I’m away from my studies I enjoy going to the movies, working out, playing cricket, and watching rugby. I also like to attend events such as Victoria and Vancouver Jazz festivals, and food festivals.
The best decision of my life was to continue my education. I believe I have found the right path to where I want to go with the help of the college and its faculty, have you found yours? If not come find out and talk to me.
